Board Member and volunteer. Maintain membership records. Support the President in their duties; lead meetings, committees as needed. Maintain minutes of club, board, and committee meetings. 

 

BOARD MEMBER, ROTARY, DISTRICT 5010 & ANCHORAGE SOUTH — 2015-2017

Board Member and volunteer, worked as a team with others to meet the needs of the Anchorage, Alaska, US, and international communities through Rotary Organization. Club achievements associated with directly include: scholarship program for local youth expansion, creation of social media platforms/campaigns, dozens of “little libraries,” and school renovation. Club duties included: webpage design, social media manager, team lead on numerous works projects.

BOARD MEMBER, ANCHORAGE SCHOOL BUSINESS PARTNERSHIPS — 2017

SBP operates as a non-profit corporation that provides guidance and direction for partnerships that range from a one-person business to large organizations. We aim to foster quality partnerships for the benefit of all ASD students and staff. Each partnership starts with an agreement in which both the business and the school outline what the expectations are for each party. Businesses who donate their time and talent build bridges of understanding between educational institutions and the community. This leads to students who are better citizens and employees.

BOARD MEMBER, UNITED STATES ACADEMIC DECATHLON - ALASKA CHAPTER — 2016-2018

As Board Member and volunteer, collaborated with others in the planning and execution of the USAD 2016 and USAD 2017 international conferences. Fostering a love for learning, integrity, team work, and diversity through friendly competition, USAD is committed to promoting excellence among students of all achievement levels.

BOARD MEMBER, ALASKA SOCIETY FOR TECHNOLOGY IN EDUCATION — 2013-2015

As the Board Member at Large assisted the President in the planning and execution of the ASTE 2014 conference. As the Advocacy Chair 2015, developed strategies to engage members and politicians to achieve lasting change in the educational climate of Alaska through technology and innovation.

ShelterBox is made up of people who believe in shelter as a human right – that shelter from the chaos of disaster and conflict is vital.

HEALTHY FUTURES, AK SPORTS HALL OF FAME 

The Alaska Sports Hall of Fame, Healthy Futures, and the Positive Leadership for Active Alaskan Youth are all organizations I have supported, volunteered with, and contributed to in our shared goal of encouraging healthy lifestyles in Alaskan young people.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS 

As a teacher and a father, I love all children and believe they should be encouraged to participate and compete in healthy ways. The Special Olympics is a great way for those with special needs to engage.

CAMP ERIN, HOSPICE OF ANCHORAGE & MOYER FOUNDATION

Hospice of Anchorage plays a unique role in meeting the needs of individuals and families in our community with a life-limiting progressive illness.  They freely offer access to end of life and grief support to all with the goal of empowering, supporting and offering reassurance, practical tools and ideas for this challenging time.

FIRST LEGO LEAGUE; FIRST TECH CHALLENGE 

The mission of FIRST is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting Mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY 

Local Habitat volunteer. Nepal service trip fall 2019 (7 days).
